LHR-ABZ Saturday night. Beetroot "tartare".

ABZ-LHR Cheese Omelette

I had to get to Aberdeen suddenly to attend a family emergency a couple of Saturdays ago. Checked online and there were award seats in Club for later that evening. I was surprised there was catering for me. Looked like the plane was set up for about 10 rows of Club. I was in row 3 and got my first choice. It was fine and I wanted as many vegetables as I could get before hitting carb heavy Scotland. Glad I took a pic to remind me of what I had the next morning because it meant I didn't have a medical complaint after I went to the bathroom... The mousse was ok. I wish they had more cakey type things rather than these cream concoctions. Menus were handed out.

The return was booked with 36 hours notice so catering wasn't an issue. We got allocated row 2 so no issues with choices. After having a bite in the lounge (busy as there was a 5.50am and 6am departure!) - which I'm glad we did as we had about a 40 minute delay while they de-iced planes ahead of us, I went for the omelette. It was tasty with what I think was feta cheese inside. The croissant was squashed and drying out. Should have used the jam and butter, but forgot. Fruit was ok, should be a larger portion with some yoghurt. The nutrigrain bar was handy as a snack for the 90 min cab ride home. I could have done without it as it wasn't very nice. No menus were handed out.
