I'd booked them in PY on this flight a while back using AP miles.
Looks like this is now FIN 946 which I understand is an ex-SQ bird, and so only has J/Y config.
Apparently J is sold as PY for international, but when I tried a dummy booking for tomorrow (same AC) it's only selling Y/J.
We booked PY in good faith, not sure what our options are, or how to go about not being fobbed off... this is a first for me, so any help appreciated.
Neither of them have status, so I don't know what options are available to us.
Tried searching, only found the "double downgrade" thread, but this is technically a single downgrade...
Thanks in advance.
946/948/949 been on these a lot, going to BOG in the morning and will be on 948
From YYZ/YUL to BOG they sell the front as PY and the back is always Y. When they fly to Costa Rica the PY is now J. When they fly YVR-YYZ it's back to PY. All depends on the market
I would call these seats J back in the day when SQ flew them, but I would not call the hard product or soft as J today. But again that's my opinion.
I feel when paying $745-$850 before discounts YLW/YVR - YYZ/YUL-BOG sitting in these lie flat PY seats is a good deal at those prices for the distance. Very nostalgic
When mainline Fin is swapped to one of these, those in J go to PY and those in PY go to Y. The opposite is also true
