I used to fly Etihad occasionally, but now that I have elite status with all 3 airline alliances, I would rather fly on one of the 3 alliances.
Etihad has nice food and service, but the connection in Abu Dhabi basically cut your one longhaul flight into two mid haul flights. And the flight doesn't count towards your elite status on any airlines alliances.
