Due to the lack of certainty re baggage I called Finnair and spoke to an agent who confirmed as OWE we would get an extra checked bag regardless of fare type. They advised that, despite the BA and Finnair app saying ‘no bags’, the check in agent would know we had bags as a result of status. I was dubious but when we checked in at our UK domestic outstation we had no issues at all and bags were simply checked. Same re carry on allowance.

So it seems - despite minimal confirmation/evidence on the website that this remains a OW benefit on a super light fare
