One night stay at MM
Just returned from MM. Husband and I were celebrating an early Valentine's Day with a staycation. We booked with points and were upgraded to a King Deluxe. It was a beautiful room with a spacious bathroom, comfortable bed and loveseat with a table near the window. Light, bright and uncluttered. Staff was very friendly and professional at every turn. We inadvertently pulled up to the Barnett next door and did not realize we were at the wrong location until the luggage was unloaded. The bellman switched the valet tag, carted our luggage across the street and walked us into the front dest. Globalist status was recognized and we were warmly welcomed and given a brief tour of the property along with description of coffee, breakfast, etc. No welcome amenity, however. We were offered a late checkout and when we exceeded that by 30 minutes the next day they were gracious and accommodating.
Breakfast was good- cooked to order eggs and very good bacon. I went next door this morning to use the gym at the Barnett and there was definitely a different vibe there. I would describe MM as more intimate and refined while the Barnett was livelier and hip. The exception was the MM bar which offered a musical trio last night and was clearly very popular and happening.
We really appreciated the spacious room, the high level of service offered by everyone we encountered at MM and the boutique feel of the place. It might be our new go-to in NOLA!
