The 2024 & 2025 EQMs gives some incentive not to become a free agent after reaching the highest level of status that you think you'll realistically achieve. Also encourages continued credit card spend. Could help boost Q3 & Q4 bookings slightly.

But I wouldn't recommend this to MVPs. I think MVP First Class upgrades will be much more rare now with last year's credit card EQM promotion and 2025 award flights earning EQMs (especially partner flights across the water).
