The vast majority of posts on the BAEC forum are not complaints (even though it sometimes seems so), and a very large number of those that are (quite justifiably) moaning about something come from the other side of the pond.

A lot of the popularity of the forum is down to the extraordinarily detailed FAQ-type threads that forum members have created and maintain: there's no forum like it. Plus the unfailingly generous attitude of its members, who are always ready to spend time offering advice and answering the questions of other members (no matter how stupid or repetitive ). There's also the substantial number of aviation enthusiasts, which the other forums don't seem to have.

Above all, unlike most of the other forums, it's a community.
