Sure, it's worth significantly less than 120USD. However, I was told by the LAS bag desk that I could get 120USD. Furthermore, https://centralbaggage.aa.com/CLAIM-CHECKLIST.pdf made clear receipts are only required for items above 100USD. Central Baggage did not even counter-offer me any compensation.

I credit all my oneworld flights to CX because I need to maintain status. We all know one can't usually have good use of mileage unless you have a big sum. Hotels are not going to make up that. I have not rented a car since COVID-19 and do not even visit the US annually anymore.
