As mentioned above, I was here recently and really enjoyed my stay.
Here's some pros and cons:

PROS

-This is a huge purpose built hotel which occupies a entire city block. Both rooms and common areas are very large and spacious.

-Pre arrival email offered a 30 euro food and beverage coupon instead of a suite upgrade....(however see "cons" below)

-As globalist got a nice upgrade to 7th floor room (same floor as the club lounge) with a decent outside view.

-I'm very glad you can open the windows here for fresh air, even on the higher floors.

-Heated bathroom floor which is wonderful

-The executive club lounge on the 7th floor is open 7 days a week and offers food 3 times per day, including breakfast, dinner and a cake hour between 16:00 (4 p.m.) to 17:00 (5 p.m.)

-Globalists get free buffet breakfast at the ground floor VOX restaurant, breakfast is served all the way until 11:00a.m. on weekdays, and all the way to 11:59 a.m. (midday) on Saturdays and Sundays.

-Swimming pool on top floor

-Late check-out granted without fuss.

-Permanent taxi rank just outside.

-Excellent transport connections as both U-bahn (metro/subway) and S-bahn and even trains all stop at the nearby "Potsdamer Platz" station

-Lots of places to eat and drink nearby, including many inside the shopping mall called "My Playce". There is a steak restaurant called "Maredo" just down the road, and a 5 guys burger place a 4 min walk away.

CONS

-Hotel has a bad habit of denying Globalists suite upgrades and instead offering a 30 euro food and beverage coupon. This can only be used ONCE per stay, even if you are staying an entire week.

-I couldn't figure out if this hotel has a proper evening turn down service or not. Sometimes staff did pass by in the evening, but just to bring extra water and tea/coffee. I didn't see them remaking beds, or closing curtains. I was a bit confused by this.

-The in room safe was too small to fit a laptop.

-A lot of rooms face the inner courtyard which has zero views and has limited daylight on the lower floors.

-No views from the 7th floor club lounge as this too faces the inner courtyard.

-Almost all of the evening food in the lounge is cold except for the daily soup.

-The nearby supermarket called "Rewe" on the basement level of the shopping mall called "My Playce" just across from the back entrance of the hotel is closed for renovations until JUNE 2025. Alternative supermarkets require a longer walk.

-This isn't really a "con" but I wish they'd made the outside of the building more attractive considering they classify themselves as a 5 star hotel. The aesthetic of the hotel really looks uninspiring and boring when viewed from the outside.

-Rates can fluctuate greatly from as low as 160 euro per night, to over 400 euro per night for basic entry level rooms. If your dates are flexible make sure to check the rate for every night to get the best deal.
