recently bought a refundable ticket SEA-YYJ-YYZ, but when I try to change it on the app I get “This reservation is not eligible for changes, see change/cancellation policy to learn more”

the detailed fare rules aren’t easy to find (Pricing Summary-> Fare Rules->View All Rules)


and they contain a lot of what appears to be contradictory information




also not thrilled by the above discussion re having to collect checked bags at the point of interlining (although at YYJ this probably won’t be a big deal)
