There's no need to arrive two hours early at smaller airports since the lines for check-in and security usually aren't anywhere near as long as they are in larger cities.

I usually arrive at the airport anywhere between 45 minutes and one hour prior to scheduled departure time, but I never check bags and print out my boarding pass online. Can't speak for BUF as I've never flown from there, but if you have status, arriving one hour prior to departure is almost always enough time to check bags and proceed to the gate at most domestic airports.
