In any case EES will only record entry and exits and will be done by scanning your passport. You won't have to do anything other than scan your passport or hand it to an immigration officer who will do it as part of the entry system.
EITAS will be attached electroniclly to your passport after your application is approved.
If that's the case, i mean if it's simple as having electronic badge to your passport, why they (the EU proponents of this marvelous proposal) haven't done it 8 years ago when they started big talks about it. The Ursula von der Leyen and Angela Merkel announced in 2018 that EU will abandon the coal and fossile fuel completely by 2027, which didn't aged well, cause you know, Putler invaded Ukraine in 2022, and now they want free lithium from little Putlers from Balkan in turn to help him to stay in power.
So if they (EU politicians who are responsible for billing this proposal) announce that "it will run in april 2025 (for sure this time definitely 😁
" I wouldn't be surprised it will be pushed back even further.
