If you reach 600+ SP by March 2025 your Gold membership is automatically renewed for the next year (ie Oct 2025 to Sept 2026), and you have until September 2025 to get another 600 SP to attain Diamond status.

So if you know you can’t get another 600 SP to attain Diamond or if you don’t want to attain DM, then you can remove your CX membership when booking flights so they don’t credit the SP. You can then retroactively claim the SP when your Gold membership starts in Oct 2025.
