330-300 was a fleet of 9 vs a fleet of 47 777-200s and 20 777-300s. It wasn't so much age as it was getting to a simplified fleet. Combine that with the 787's on property and more on order (at the time, and more since then), they decided to put their eggs in the Boeing basket. Without COVID, it would have probably not been much longer before the 332's were put out to pasture for the same reason.
