I would have escalated with Marriott Reservations to make you whole. If it’s a property issue then Marriott can set them straight since they are using Marriott’s reservation systems. If it’s a Marriott issue then they can easily rectify this by contacting the account owner of the points to authorize adding the guest name on the reservation.
