I have a bit of a dilemma and was wondering if anyone might know.

I was about to upgrade a family member and their partner (neither has BA status) on a CE flight (in about a weeks time) to make their journey a bit more pleasant. The seat map however is looking like this:



Are they likely to be split up, since the only two adjacent seats are blocked and in row 1?

This would defeat the purpose as I’m sure they would be happier together in ET than split up in CE.
