That is correct- if both Plats are personal or both are business, you will only receive one head start.
To get two head starts, one would have to be personal, and the other business
I am sorry if I am kicking the dead horse, but I still have reason to doubt. Perhaps I was not reading the Terms and Conditions carefully enough, but I did not read this anywhere.
Also, today, I chatted with an AMEX agent (to have this in writing) and after she consulted with her supervisor, she confirmed that even if I have two Platinum Personal cards, exactly the same products, I should be receiving TWO MQD headstarts. That means 2x2500 MQDs.
(I made it clear that I am calling to close one of the account if I was not getting what I was promised by the upgrading agents.)
She said:
Upon further checking here, your account was affected with the issue on delay getting the MQD Headstart benefit. It has been discovered that selected Delta Card Members who are eligible to receive their MQD Headstart for 2024 & 2025 are presenting a delay. Delta is already working though this issue.
As for the time frame of the MQD signing into my account, frankly, I find the Terms and Condition a little vague. WHO IS THE "existing Card Members"??? And who is the upgrading member?
Am I an existing member -- because my account number stays the same?
-OR-
Am I the upgrading member, because I am "upgrading from another Delta SkyMiles American Express Card that is not eligible for the MQD Headstart benefit to an Eligible Card"?
To me, in fact, I am BOTH.
I upgraded on December 4th, so 8 weeks from there is February 4th. I expected to be treated as the member who UPGRADES the card (not the new cardmember), so I should already have the MQDs. The declared delay would explain this.
Does any of you experience delay in posting the MQD benefit, or do all 2024 existing cardmembers already have the MQD headstart in their account? I did receive one MQD Headstart in my account on February 2nd, 2025.
Thank you.
