So I booked BA286 sometime in May through an Avios redemption booking.
I was alarmed to learn that for some inexplicable reason, BA is operating an A380 on both BA285/4 and BA287/6 for a short period this spring 2025. I was expecting a 77W, and wanted one after the massive unreliability of the A380 fleet off late.

1) Is there a site where one can stay updated about BA's fleet changes in more than 'opportunistically finding relevant news articles' - as in actually search over a date range, what equipment is scheduled to fly a particular route. I could not find this in ExpertFlyer - you have to specify a particulate date, not a range.
2) If my flight was to get cancelled, and since I used Avios, would I still get the ability to book any A/F fare seat going from SFO -> LHR that is free ?

A few days ago you were worried about older 777s now about A380 reliability.
The A380 is a great aircraft to fly on but the fleet within BA is small and the aircraft is big, so issues are perhaps more visible than other craft.
Air travel is generally reliable, but from time to time things don't go the way you'd planned/expected. The airline will sort it out and you'll get wherever you wee going someway at some point, enjoy the ride.
For one, it rather have some slight inconvenience and get there safely than have someone pushed to fly anything thet have concern about.
My best friend's father was a BA 474 pilot and I recall him telling me there is a VIP on
every plane who needs to get home safely -
him.
