The second year, you pay $550. You do need to know 1 small fine print. The United Club membership is for as long as you have the credit card. The minute you cancel the credit card, you lose the UC membership. I have seen so many disappointed flyers at the UC door denied of entrance because they cancel their credit card. Airlines are really good at shutting off the loopholes.
