Here's a few meals from flights this winter.

DL2866: EWR-MSP
Dinner: Beef short rib

Beef short rib on Delta.
My last flight of 2024 was in F on a cheap paid upgrade option. We were delayed getting out but service was decent.

DL1925: MSP-SJU
Breakfast: Quiche

Quiche, with a muffin.
Took the family to Puerto Rico for a long weekend in the sun. I used four RUCs and we all cleared several weeks out. I had the quiche, the rest of the family had the banana bread french toast (see below). I thought this was really good. The granola was a little iffy, but the quiche especially was tasty. There was a granola option on board, plus the special pre-order choices of salmon plate or breakfast pizza.

Dinner: Three cheese manicotti

Three cheese manicotti with a salad.
I had to be in New Orleans a couple days before the Super Bowl. So my flight back was the backend of one of those extra Super Bowl flights to bring everyone TO the big game. That meant the flight back was a ghost town. 24 people on board that 737-900ER. My upgrade cleared at the window and I chose the manicotti. Other options were the short rib again, or a chicken curry dish. There were a couple of special pre-order options too that I forget now. This was ... fine. I'd had a really good lasagna in F a few months back and was hoping this would be good like that. It was not. Edible, but not inspiring. I believe this option is also being served in Premium Select transatlantic right now and I hope that version is better. Or at least bigger.
