Just booked a saver fare on AS and am unable to preselect seats. I'm OWE. Chatted with Alaska rep and he confirmed that saver tickets can only select seats 2 hrs. before departure. I'm sure that I was able to do it in the past. I guess I just missed the notice about this change. Anybody has experienced this? Seems like status does not mean a lot nowadays when it comes to saver fares with AS. At least with AA, even with BE ticket, I can still select seats.
