Just called the British Airways Gold line and, after the agent consulted with their team leader, I was told I don’t need to do anything - Avios and Tier Points will supposedly be credited to my BAEC (within 28 days) based on my original booked flights rather than the re-routed one. I still have doubts about how reliable this information is...
