I transferred a healthy amount of miles to Finnair Avios to book two Business class award tickets from Copenhagen<>Tokyo. Unfortunately a change a plans has required that I cancel the tickets and the Avios have returned to my Finnair account.

Since I'm not sure on when I might use the miles in the future, I was thinking it would be wise to transfer the miles to BA given the 36 month expiry vs. Finnair's 18th month. Is there any downside to transferring the miles from Finnair to British Airways? BA also has easier way to keep the account active.
