SWU upgrades on BA are live
I believe the SWU indicator only works for AA flights. For BA, you have to call.
The process is
1. Check award tickets (miles)
2. If the flight on BA is shows up in the desired cabin, then a SWU may be available
3. Call AA and ask to upgrade.
The upgrade isn't guaranteed just because it is available with miles. We haven't figured out the exact formula that BA uses to allow upgrades. Also, remember that BA SWUs only go 1 class. Y to PE, PE to J, J to F. They do not go Y to J like on AA.
