Amazingly when my husband got home and I checked his phone the booking had gone through. Very confusing as if I had gone on to be able to book the seats the 2nd time I refreshed not sure what would have happened.
Now just have to go through the stress of booking the return then the phone call to BA to join the bookings etc.
It is worth it for the money you save so shouldn’t moan
