I have Asia Miles that I recently transferred from accumulation on my RBC Avion card. I also have the ability to transfer miles from my AMEX Rewards account. I’ve used the miles on JAL for both J and F. You can access JAL awards 360 days out as soon as they are released. If you’re located in a city with CX or JL services then it’s valuable and the premium seat availability isn’t bad (better than Aeroplan). The downside is the CX credit card in Canada isn’t very good and Asia Miles expire in 18 months if there’s no account activity.
