Cocumella to many would be the more stylish property that gives more of the Sorrentine/ Almafi coast type feeling. It's smaller and more exclusive, really depends on personal preferences.

Personally we stayed in Seiano at Grand Hotel Angiolieri (also SLH) which is lovely with great views (except lowest category of rooms) and good service and it isn't far from Sorrento, but we did have a car.
Not sure how to determine if a cruise ship is in port. I can only guess that is why the Hilton is sold out more than others
