I’ve got two separate bookings both using miles.

First booking is BA, RUH-LHR, second is AA LHR-JFK.

I am hand baggage only.

I booked both flights using my AA miles.

I have 4 hours and 15 minutes connection.

In case the incoming BA is delayed and I miss the connection, as I read everything here, AA will rebook me on that second leg, correct? I am understanding this correctly?

Apologies if I am being redundant. I’ve never had unconnected tickets like this, and it makes me slightly uneasy.
