I have another option - changing the PVG-HND to PVG-NRT on the same day the Lufthansa flight gets in. This would mean about 3h30 layover and my bag would definitely🤞be checked through. Has anyone gone to the city and back within that time frame? I’ve timed it and it’s doable with Maglev and line 2 and a quick sprint to the Bund and back. I wonder, however, if they are strict in China with the “no leaving the airport once your bag is checked in” and would they know at immigration/security from my boarding passes that I’m leaving my luggage behind ? Is it even a rule in China that you’re not allowed to leave the airport once your bag is checked in? It’s a rule in the UK but no one cares.
