Outside of the AS BofA credit card, non-air partners also earn EQM, which is based on the RDM earned from them. For each 3,000 RDM earned, you earn 1,000 EQM. If you use the BofA credit card to make those non-air partner purchases, you would earn additional RDM/EQM on the credit card spend.
In the OP's example, making a $120 purchase that earns 25 RDM per $ spent would yield (120×25) 3,000 RDM and also 1,000 RDM for the non-air partner activity.
