I've had post-flight airline missing miles and they always want a copy of the boarding pass (which usually disappears off the phone after a few days.) If I were you, I'd definitely print the ETA confirmation.
For some international travel (China, for example), I have hard-copy backups of important documents (along with the digital backup, below).
For everything else, I create a MS OneNote with digital versions of important documents and details, accessible (synced offline) on my phone.
