Interesting discussion. I will add my comments based on my experiences. I am in ZRH and redeem on LX fairly often. What is clear is that the Economy rewards always have 1 piece included and of course you can have your extra piece based on status. I expect this is the same across the LH group (OS/LH/SN/LX . . and . . soon to be AZ?) . .

Crazy how complex it can be in Asia.
