We stayed there in November 2023. I thought that their breakfast buffet had as much or more variety and was as good as at any hotel where I had stayed in the world. When I travel, I try to eat local food as much as possible and do not judge breakfasts by how well they prepare common American breakfast staples.

Serious question. What is a better property in Ho Chi Minh that is less expensive and offers more services?
I paid about 8M per night at the Park Hyatt. The JW and Sheraton were about 4M per night and offered lounge access - with the JW offering a better breakfast (delicious goat cheese omelets) and a lounge with cocktails made by the staff. I would argue that room quality was similar (though, the design of the Park Hyatt is better and more unique). Even the Hilton at 5M per night had better shower pressure and IMO a tastier breakfast with far better croissants. Vinpearl Landmark 81 was about 6M per night but suffers from a worse location (but also has freshly prepared cocktails in the lounge).

I would have to disagree about the Con part. They did give you a pretty hefty welcome amenity (that is not required anymore with WOH). The bottle of wine could be considered equal to 2 drink chits for a bar.
I don’t drink wine, so that bottle stayed sealed. I agree that the dessert portions of the welcome gift were generous.
