I just phoned BAEC to do the transfer ... and the agent said that they are no longer allowed to do it (she claimed they received instructions a couple of months ago) ... and that she needed to raise a request internally to validate my credentials (on my other Avios account) and to investigate why it isn’t working and to do the transfer ...
And that I would get a call back within 72 hours!
Anybody else experienced a 72 hour wait to combine avios?
after 4 days I hadn't anything from BA ... so I called again ... and after nearly an hour on the phone with the agent going back and forth with their 2nd line support ... they just did the transfer for me !
it really shouldn't be this hard !!
