Now re-checking the booking, there are other rooms available again and our room type has changed to a King Spa Room but with no notification of any upgrade or change. I'm wondering if this will stick, if there's been some reconfiguration of the rooms in the hotel or what's happened.! Clearly if we get a nicer room, upgraded 2 months before arrival, then I'll happily take it but I've never had an upgrade so early before. And the app doesn't say "free upgrade"..
April is a very period with ANZAC Day and School Holidays. Likely they had to offer rooms to a supplier at the base level so you were upgraded.
