Well presumably BA knows what they have been paid but those figures will not necessarily line up with what the TA has charged, being the reason why they do not award Avios based on price paid for certain fares. I assume there is some sort of industry agreement about this between BA and TAs?
A side-effect of the changes would therefore be to make long haul travel agent fares less attractive. I wonder whether that will have ramifications on BA’s relationship with travel agents.
