As a fairly recent dad I can confirm that it's not a problem to bring a YOYO car seat on the plane, but for sure you won't be able to bring a 'proper' car seat in the plane (like the ones usign Isofix).

I can only recommend the YOYO's in general - you got a push chair for the airport and have a proper car seat at your destination.
