Made a booking here in May 2024 for April 2025. Booked a King Guest Room.

Kept an eye on the booking and for quite a while during Autumn 2024, the hotel appeared to be fully booked with no rooms available so I made sure I didn't alter my booking to avoid losing it altogether..

Now re-checking the booking, there are other rooms available again and our room type has changed to a King Spa Room but with no notification of any upgrade or change. I'm wondering if this will stick, if there's been some reconfiguration of the rooms in the hotel or what's happened.! Clearly if we get a nicer room, upgraded 2 months before arrival, then I'll happily take it but I've never had an upgrade so early before. And the app doesn't say "free upgrade"..
