My guess is the "X" desk is probably manned the same hours as the phone desk so you're going to get the same response level and guess what, just like the phone agents in times of significant IRROPS, they might have a large backlog and your response will come accordingly.
Yup, and sending a message and waiting for a response is a heck of a lot more convenient than waiting on hold or waiting hours for a callback.
