I think the overwhelming conclusion from this thread, is that the old BA Boeing 777s have an incredibly strong safety record and the fact they have been around so long and are in the hands of an airline which takes care of them, means that they are safe.

The reason for posting the graph is to demonstrate that it’s not an unreasonable question to ask and to have a discussion about and it is not totally ridiculous in light of the data for aircraft more generally and the significant survivor (-esque) bias in the data.
