The first question is your preferred flights.Getting up at 4am or so to get the 7:55 flight would be a major inconvenience for me. A tighter connection of now 2h is possibly an improvement if you are traveling in Y.787 is indeed a bit worse than A350.

The second question is how much it will cost you. QR has made huge changes to its overall schedule and plane assignment. The time change is usually a few minutes (less than 2h), so no right for free changes/cancelations. To see how much it will cost you, try to change flights on website. Just that ED-BKK segment.First it will show you the fare for the new flights. Continue. Then it will show you the fare difference between what you paid and the new fare.
