Booked JL15 via Online Chat with QR. Same availability that Cathay was showing 360 days out. Higher taxes at $453 vs. $202 when booking using BA, but you get access to awards 5 days sooner so it's worth it for high demand routes. Same 103,000 miles required for LAX-HND in First Class one-way with both QR & BA. Cathay wants 135,000 miles for the same flight.
