We have a flight booked with Qatar in April from Edinburgh to bkk , today I received a email saying that there's a change of outbound flight times and the email is giving me the option of accepting the flight time change then gives the option of changing the flight, Alternatively you can request a refund of the remaining value of your ticket (fare rules may apply). This refund will include any fees paid for add-ons you did not use. One thing that I am not happy with is the change of aircraft that was going to be a A350 and now it's a B787 which I do not rate at all plus the transit time is a lot shorter than it was supposed to be.

I have checked the prices for flights for the day that we fly out and the price has risen a lot on the flight that we are booked on. the early flight out which is a A350 is slightly more expensive than we paid, maybe £50 more. If I did take the earlier flight, would I have to pay the fare difference and is there a time limit on accepting the new flight time's with the thinking that the price may come down over the next couple of weeks or taking a chance with a refund with the hope of getting a better deal.
