can't help thinking a few queries on ITA matrix will give airlines a good idea about competitors pricing

i would imagine that AA on A US domestic only itinerary is not considered a competitor as I don't think BA will sell a US only itinerary and would ultimately book the AA ticket anyway. If they can sell the AA domestic ticket then it would be as a business partner not as a competitor

seems very very different from the situation with VA, or even Global
