If you are flying economy in fare class T,O,N,Q then the price on EDI-DOH and DOH-SGN will remain the same. I've never had a an additional fee so don't know what the 100 GBP is about. What will most certainly change is availability, thus if you want it, grab it.
If you try to upgrade at the airport the price with avios will be higher.
