The new BAEC change is going to devalue and discourage BAEC members from flying other OW carriers as flights taken on OW carriers will only earn a small portion of the tier points in the reinvented scheme.

This brings the question of what's the value of BA being in OW/any group?

On top of that, I also noticed that tier points from flights taken on other OW carriers are often not posted/posted late to BAEC account which would then take a disproportional amount of time and effort to contact BA CS to resolve as BA tends to immediately close any missing claims without further investigating.

Also, BA doesn't automatically reroute to other OW carriers such as CX, JAL when a flight is cancelled as they prefer their close partner Qatar. The ability to get reward seats on other OW carriers on BA portal can be challenging/non-existent sometimes as well.
