I liked this Courtyard more than expected. Had booked for ~5,5k THB a couple weeks in advance for one night over Lunar New Year. Closer to the date, the price had shot up to 8k... ludicrous, yet par for the course for peak season Phuket. From a base (Deluxe) twin room, I was pre-upgraded to a Junior Suite 2 days before arrival and then an Executive Suite on check-in day. No problem with 4pm late check out and selected breakfast in lieu of points or 300 THB F&B voucher. The suite was spacious, with a view of the sea/mountains from both bedroom and sitting area. In terms of natural lighting, it sounds better than the description of the Junior Suite a few posts up. The kitchenette was fairly well-stocked, like, you actually could cook some basic meals in it... not something I'd even consider in a foodie haven like Old Town Phuket, but the option is there. I appreciated the room but I agree with GoSh4rks about the bad shower design (water took forever to heat up as well) and the shortness of the bed. And while I'd never expect a proper working desk at a Courtyard, I did have some hope for more than the coffee table and side tables in a suite. Breakfast buffet was average for a Marriott in Thailand, which is to say pretty good. I appreciated the lack of stinginess with the Tabasco: you can just grab a bottle right next to the egg station. Bacon is extra crispy, waffles were so-so but the French toast was delish -- especially smothered in that banana caramel sauce. Location's great, right in the thick of Old Town, and easy to access. There's a Kid's Club as well, which is both well designed and maintained, with a friendly attendant. Interactions with staff in general quite positive. Didn't try the pool, but it was of a decent size with an adjacent bar. Overall, I would return, though would vastly prefer the low-season price point.
