From arrival hall go downstairs, buy a chip and go downstairs. Get out at Phaya and grab a taxi to Conrad would be my choice with luggage. But sure, more convenient just using the taxi. Chances of being scammed because "meter not working" included.

Our main concern is not getting stuck in traffic for hours, since it'll be evening peak time.

I wanted to avoid needing to get cash, because I so rarely use it these days.
