My Spa Tower Experience

I stayed in the Spa Tower early last month. When I arrived, I asked if a non-smoking room was available in this new tower but they only had smoking. However, figured I give it a try – just to check out the new rooms – and fortunately, no smokey odor. I would agree that the bathroom seems a little nicer (sleeker fixtures, etc.) but other than that the rooms seemed very similar to the original tower. Accessing the Spa Tower comes by a long walk from the lobby past the conservatory to a hidden elevator bank entrance. If you have any significant luggage… do yourself a favor and get a bellman to help. The tower itself is set back pretty far from the strip; so, the view from my 7th floor room consisted of mostly the Aladdin across the street and a lot of the parking garage rooftop below. Nothing exciting. How anyone would be able to see the fountains is beyond me, as one of the original towers all but blocks the fountain view. I imagine that possibly the very upper floors might have a view though. I think the real decision here is about the original tower better view vs. the newness of the spa rooms. If you have questions I didn’t address, please let me know.
