I Enjoyed that. Nice to hear Ben being particularly honest and straightforward about what he does. We're not idiots here on FT, we know the airlines are using loyalty schemes to increase their revenue by getting us sucked into the ecosystem. So I don't mind him saying he wants to encourage us on to the "AFKL hamster wheel". He did mention that they may do another match push in a year's time when the next batch of disaffected folks are due to start making changed decisions. Not guaranteed, but I may wait for that to match as I have BA and SAS gold until then anyway. But I might start booking a few AF flights from places like Birmingham beforehand to try it out, something that wasn't possible in the BA system.
